Known as the largest museum in New Jersey, the Newark Museum features a large collection of art, science, and history galleries from all over the world, all conveniently located in Newark.
The museum is home to over 80 permanent galleries, including the Alice and Leonard Dreyfuss Planetarium and the Saturn: Exploring a Celestial Wonder.
The museum hosts several events throughout the year, including the Annual Newark Black Film Festival, the Jazz and BBQ Benefit, and the 44th Annual Antique Fire Apparatus Muster and Parade.
