New Jersey Hotel Reservations
Once greeting immigrants to the United States from 1892 to 1954, Ellis Island was where U.S. officials inspected and either admitted or denied immigrants entry into the country.
Visit this carefully restored site, which includes the Great Hall inspection center, numerous exhibits and artifacts, and the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.
Given its historical significance, Ellis Island was designated to the National Register of Historic Places in 1966.
